Welcome to The School Counseling Site!

Hello! 
This is my fourth year as Woodrow Wilson's School Counselor.
As a School Counselor, I perform the following roles in order to promote positive development in academic, career, and personal/social domains:

* Individual counseling
* Small group counseling
* Classroom guidance lessons
* Student observations
* Consult and collaborate with parents, teachers, administrators, social workers, and outside therapists
* Connect families to outside resources such as therapists, food pantries, etc.
* Monitor student attendance

 

Degrees/Colleges:
BA in Human Services and Rehabilitation and MA in School Counseling from Assumption College
 
Educational Philosophy/Vision: 
I believe that all students can reach his or her potential with the help of parents and staff working together to ensure academic and personal success.

Guidance Classes:
October is National Bullying Prevention Month! This month we will be discussing what bullying is, how we can prevent it, and what to do when we see bullying. On October 25th, we will all wear orange shirts to school to celebrate Unity Day and show we are united in preventing bullying from happening in school. Lastly, during the week of October 22nd, we will be learning about Red Ribbon Week!


We keep a small food pantry at school to assist our families in need. Please call me if you need help (704-933-2935). Our pantry is maintained through donations from North Kannapolis United Methodist and individual donations:
