About Mrs. Copeland:
Mrs. Copeland will be going into her fourth year at Woodrow Wilson in the PreKindergarten classroom and looking forward to an exciting school year. She is a native of Virginia, but has called North Carolina home for over 20 years. She's married and has one son. She enjoys a variety of sports with basketball and football being her favorites (Let's Go Wonders!)

College(s) Attended / Degrees Earned: 
Graduate of University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Bachelor's Degree in Child Health Family and Development and a Birth-Kindergarten License.

Mrs. Copeland and Mrs. Smith are dedicated to providing a nurturing, safe and educational learning environment for each child that enters their classroom. Their goal is to make the first year at school a wonderful experience. They encourage you to get involved in your child's education! 


What is Letterland?

 Letterland is a unique, phonics-based approach to teaching reading, writing and spelling to 3-8 year olds. The Letterland characters transform plain black letter shapes into child-friendly pictograms and they all live in an imaginary place called Letterland.

Simple stories about the Letterland characters, explain the full range of dry phonics facts so that children are motivated to listen, to think and to learn. These stories explain letter sounds & shapes, allowing children to progress quickly to word building, reading and writing.
