Brenda Jenkins, RN, BSN

About me:
Hi, my name is Brenda Jenkins!  I have been a registered nurse for 25 years.  I have worked with children for much of my nursing career.  I have two grown children but no grandchildren yet.  I do have a granddog named Ava though.  I have a dog named Lady who is a shepherd mix and likes to go with me when I run errands.  She is my constant pal.

Please feel free to contact me with any information or questions about your child and their health.  My hours are 8:15 AM until 3:45 PM.  You can reach me by calling 704-933-2935 or by email at brenda.jenkins@kcs.k12.nc.us

Immunization and physical exam requirements:

North Carolina law requires that ALL students have a complete immunization record on file at the school by the 30th calendar day of school entry. Kindergarteners are also required to have a physical exam on file by the 30th calendar day of school entry. The physical exam must have been performed within one year of school entry. The principal will be notified of students who are not in compliance as of the 30th day, and those students will not be allowed to return to school until they meet the requirements.

Any student entering a North Carolina Public school for the first time, no matter the age/grade of the child, is also required to have a physical exam completed by a North Carolina Physician on file at school by the 30th calendar day of school entry.
